How did i spend my first year at my bakhoor store.

You won't expect what happened at the end.
I've started the store because I've felt nostalgic for my home (sudan).
And because of the sudden alienation and other circumstances...i needed a distraction, so i started to know new people around me and i made them bakour few times and then we started the photo sessions and all people close to me knew where the name came from,But why not tell the story again...
The name was inspired by the white doe that was mentioned in a poem of "qais ibn al maloh", the poem was hanged in the "kaaba's" wall during the "time of ignorance"
Everyone who was buying from me they were either relatives or neighbours...and one day i received a message from someone telling me "I've seen your work on tik tok and liked it"
Honestly the joy was undescribable...even though i was selling before but I've felt that finally people started to know and notice me.
And of course after the first order outside my known circle...i faced difficulties and found out that the store is still missing a lot of things...which I'll summarise in the next points:
1.DELIVERY: i didn't have any delivery companies (because most of the orders were a couple blocks away) my son used to deliver them while i was looking for a company.
2.LOADING: i had to send the orders in a way that makes customers love the store and its products...so i was looking for a factory that makes me cans and boxes in different sizes that's useful for selling with a good price.
3.COST CALCULATION: at first the revenue wasn't that much , so was the number of orders...but suddenly i started to have a lot of requests with less revenue..
That's when i knew the store was starting to lose...and i had to Calculate the materials cost price and not sell randomly.
These points made me lose a lot...
NOTE:after the first order i didn't get anything until two weeks later...and before the first order i was working for a month just to get that first order.
Is the store worth it? Will i continue for the next few years?
Honestly anything we do in life is worth it...and made me love and accept more people.
And if I'm going to sell for the next few years! I want to spread our culture in many aspects for so many people.
I hope that this newsletter was helpful...and we'll write more and more of it so we all exchange information together!
